Necessary products for a container with a capacity of 3 liters :

  • 1 kg of chokeberry
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 100 grams of raisins

Method of preparation :

Pour the fruit into the bowl (bucket or other suitable) and mash with your hands. Add about 300 grams of sugar and raisins to ferment better. Pour the resulting mixture with warm water, the amount of which should be 2/3 of the volume of the vessel. Close it tightly with a lid and leave in a dark place. Do not open the bucket for a week. It is very important not to let it mold. On the 8th day, add another 300 grams of sugar, wait another week and add the last 300 grams (approximately). Allow to ferment for 1 month. In the best case, the chokeberry will settle to the bottom of the dish. Strain the wine and leave again for a while so that it can be clarified.

To get a more delicate taste, you can add to the already clear wine, for example, 1 liter of fruit juice (mostly grape or apple).

You can consume it in the classic chilled form, and also use the hot drink as a base for making mulled wine.

Cheers!
