Necessary products:

  • 150 ml of fresh milk
  • 450 ml high-fat cream, for example 30% (the higher the fat content, the better)
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 100 g of sugar
  • vanilla

Method of preparation:

Pour the milk and cream into a saucepan (1: 3 ratio), but do not boil. Don't forget to mix. Then add the vanilla.

In another bowl, beat the yolks and sugar until white and until the mixture doubles in volume. You can experiment with the amount of sugar.

Add the beaten egg yolks to the combination of milk and cream (heated to about 90-95 degrees, without allowing it to boil). This must happen on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring until the consistency thickens. Then cool the mixture, stirring and put in the freezer. Before serving, decorate to your liking (you can use fresh fruit, chocolate, fruit syrup, etc.).
