Required products :

  • 2 liters and a half of fresh milk
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Method of preparation :

In a deep saucepan pour the milk, add the vanilla and sugar. Stir to dissolve and bring to a boil.

At this point, remove from the heat and add the soda. During the reaction, the milk boils, so choose the deepest possible container and stir vigorously at all times.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer until it thickens and changes color. Strain through a fine sieve, pour into jars and cool. Serve the finished dulce de leche and enjoy it.
