Required products :

  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 tea cup sour cream
  • 120 grams of salted butter, frozen
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a large bowl, sift the flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Add the cream and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula.
  • Grate the frozen butter on top and mix with a fork until crumbly dough.
  • Add the buttermilk and stir briefly.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and form a circle approximately 2.5 cm thick.
  • Cut into squares and transfer the patties to a pre-greased pan.
  • Bake for 14-15 minutes, remove from the oven, grease them with melted butter and bake for another 1 minute until golden brown.
  • Allow the patties to cool briefly before serving.
