How To Cook Honey Cake With Pistachios And Rose Water - Recipe

Required products :

For the cake :

  • 3 eggs
  • 175 grams of butter
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 150 grams of powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 teaspoons rose water / for cooking /
  • 75 grams of ground almonds
  • 75 grams of pistachios
  • 1 baking powder

About icing :

  • 125 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon rose water / for cooking /
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a large bowl, beat the sugar and butter until smooth.
  • Add honey and rose water and stir again.
  • Gradually add the eggs, beating the mixture between each of them.
  • Add the flour, almonds, baking powder and chopped pistachios, then mix well with a spoon.
  • Grease a round pan and cover it with baking paper.
  • Pour the cake mixture into it and bake it in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown. If it starts to brown too quickly on top, cover it with aluminum foil.
  • Remove the cake from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool.
  • Meanwhile, make the icing by whipping the powdered sugar, butter, milk and rose water. Spread it evenly on the cake.
  • Sprinkle with a few pistachios, chop and serve.

Note!

Use only rose water for cooking and in no case one intended for cosmetic purposes!
