Necessary products:

For the dough

  • 6 eggs
  • 500 grams of flour
  • 300 grams of honey
  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 1 tsp nuts
  • 2 tsp baking soda (quicklime)

For the cream

  • 700 grams of heavy cream
  • 200 grams of powdered sugar
  • vanilla
  • 70 grams of milk chocolate (optional)

Method of preparation:

Beat the eggs and sugar until white, add the soda and honey (if the honey is very thick, melt it in a water bath). Grind the walnuts and add them to the egg-honey mixture. Put the sifted flour and make a thick dough. Grease a rectangular form with butter, cover it with baking paper and pour 1/4 of the dough into it. Level the surface. Bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes (until a beautiful bronze color). In the same way, bake a total of 4 loaves, leave to cool and straighten the edges. Bake the cuttings until golden brown, cool and grind into crumbs.

Prepare the cream: all you have to do is whip the cream with the powdered sugar and add the vanilla.

"Assemble" the cake, arranging the tops on top of each other, smearing each of them with plenty of cream. Spread on top and sides, sprinkle with crumbs from the cuttings and grated chocolate.

Enjoy!
