Required products :

  • 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage leaves, cut in bulk
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 4-6 pieces of chicken legs
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 fresh figs, halved

Method of preparation :

 

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  • Mix in a small bowl the vinegar, mustard, 1 tablespoon olive oil, honey, sage and garlic. Stir and set aside.
  • Dry the chicken legs with kitchen paper and season them on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the chicken legs skin side down for 6-8 minutes.
  • Turn them carefully and distribute the figs around them. If the pan is not suitable for use in the oven, transfer them to a pan.
  • Pour the balsamic glaze over the legs and figs and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • Serve them warm, richly garnished with sauce.
