Coconut chips are gaining popularity - mothers with young children choose it as an alternative to harmful snacks; followers of a low-carb diet look for the pleasure of eating in front of the TV.
The good thing is that the coconut chips themselves are healthy, without added harmful ingredients.

The most important thing is to choose the right coconut - pay attention to the "eyes" of the coconut. The three points on it must be the same, without mold or any special change.

To open the coconut, you need a screwdriver and a hammer.
Insert the screwdriver into the holes; if you succeed, open 2 of them. Move slightly and remove the screwdriver, then you will easily squeeze the coconut water that you can drink, it is very useful.
There is a trick that will make it easier to separate the nut from the shell, namely: after you have drained the water, roast the coconut briefly for 20 minutes at 180 degrees. Cool the coconut completely before continuing to work with it.
Then tap the nut a few times and it will split - the easiest way would be to mentally divide it into two parts horizontally and hit an idea closer to the side with the dots. If you hit the right place, it will split almost completely with great ease, otherwise you need a hard hit.
Separate the nut from the shell. This is easily done by passing a thick knife between the nut and the peel. Peel the thin skin of the nut. If it doesn't bother you, you can leave it.
Cut the coconut in half and cut into thin flakes - you can do it with a knife or peeler, as you see fit.
Arrange the coconut slices in a pan and lightly salt with sea salt.
Make sure the chips are spread as thinly as possible on the tray, not piles of it.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes at 150 degrees, stirring occasionally.
Cool completely and then store in a tightly closed jar.
