Dissolving gelatin is very easy, but you need to know some important details.

Dissolve in cold water, then pour the desired amount of liquid and heat.
It is important to observe the proportions, because otherwise the result will be a "rubber product":

  • 20 grams of gelatin + 1 liter of water = "flickering" jelly;
  • 40 - 60 grams of gelatin + 1 liter of water = jelly, which can be cut with a knife.

Gelatin should not be boiled because it will not thicken.
When using fruit, they should be finely chopped, as the gelatin will "slide" into large pieces.
Do not refrigerate the gelatin mixture in the refrigerator compartment or freezer, as it will crystallize.
The shelf life of the product is of great importance - if the gelatin is not suitable for use, it will spoil the whole dish.
