Required products :

  • 490 grams of flour
  • 55 grams of powdered sugar
  • 3 teaspoons dry yeast
  • pinch of salt
  • 250 milliliters of warm milk
  • 100 grams of melted butter
  • 3 egg yolks
  • rapeseed oil for the pan

For sprinkling :

  • 215 powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, powdered sugar, yeast and salt.
  • Make a well in the middle and add the warmed milk, butter and egg yolks. Stir until a sticky mixture.
  • Knead on a floured surface until smooth, transfer to a greased bowl and leave to rise for 90 minutes or until it doubles in size.
  • Take the dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 2 minutes.
  • Roll out to a thickness of 1 cm and let it rest for about 2 minutes.
  • Use a round shape with a diameter of 8 cm / or another of your choice / to cut the donuts and arrange them in a tray covered with baking paper.
  • Allow them to stand at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  • Mix the powdered sugar and cinnamon in a deep bowl. Stir well.
  • Heat the rapeseed oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the donuts for about 40 seconds on each side until golden and swollen.
  • Roll in cinnamon sugar and serve with a smile.
