Necessary products:

  • 1 kg of pitted apricots
  • 500 grams of sugar
  • 25 grams of gelatin

Method of preparation:

Choose enough ripe apricots, but hard, whose stones are easily removed. Wash them well.

Then put in a suitable container and fill them with sugar. Do not stir, just shake.

Leave to stand for 4 - 6 hours to release the juice. Only then can you mix thoroughly.

Pour the gelatin evenly on top, mix gently and leave for another 2 hours.

Stir periodically during this time. Then pour the future jelly into sterilized jars, put the lids. Take a suitable saucepan, cover the bottom with a clean towel or piece of cloth, pour water, bring to a boil and sterilize the jars over low heat for 15 minutes.

A few tips :

  • do not fill the jars to the top with jam, because during sterilization it will increase in volume;
  • the water level in the pot should be just over half the height of the jars;
  • after removing from the water, close the lids and turn the jars upside down on a clean towel;
  • when cooled, shake several times back and forth to distribute the jam evenly in the bowl (you can skip this procedure, it is not mandatory).

Enjoy your meal!
