How To Cook Juicy Chicken Fillet In Lemon Marinade - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 pieces of chicken breast / 2 halves, about 600 grams in total /
  • peel of 1 lemon, grated
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

For the pan :

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For garnish :

  • parsley
  • lemon slices

Method of preparation :

 

  • Cut the chicken breasts lengthwise in half to get 4 steaks.
  • Cover each steak with baking paper and use a meat hammer or rolling pin to thin it to a thickness of about 7 millimeters.
  • In a bowl, mix the lemon zest and juice, garlic, brown sugar, olive oil, parsley and soy sauce. Stir well.
  • Transfer the chicken steaks to a plastic bag with a closing mechanism and pour the marinade over them.
  • Close the bag, shake it lightly to cover the meat evenly and leave it in the fridge for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Remove the chicken steaks and discard the marinade.
  • Heat the oil in a ribbed pan over medium heat and place 2 fillets in it.
  • Bake for about 2-3 minutes until lightly caramelized and golden brown. Turn and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Repeat with the remaining steaks.
  • Transfer them to a plate, cover with aluminum foil and let the meat rest for 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish the chicken fillets with parsley and lemon slices and serve.
