How To Cook Kadaif Cake With Mozzarella And Honey-lemon Syrup - Recipe

Required products :

450 grams of kadaif
500 grams of mozzarella or ricotta
130 grams of butter + another 30 grams to spread the dish
2 tablespoons of honey

For syrup:

600 grams of sugar
400 milliliters of water
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice


Method of preparation :

Make the syrup first. Mix the water and sugar in a suitable bowl, place on the stove, wait for the sweet crystals to melt, stirring occasionally, and bring the combination to a boil.
Once this is done, add honey, lemon juice and let the syrup boil for 5-7 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.

Roll out the kadaif dough, separating the "fibers".

Melt the butter in a suitable bowl, add the honey and stir. Then gradually add the liquid to the dough. Stir to distribute the oil evenly over the "threads".

Grease a form with oil and put half of the velvet in it, press. Spread the mozzarella on top and the rest of the dough on top. Press again.

Bake the cake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40-45 minutes (until golden).

When ready, syrup it hot with the sweet liquid. Leave for 5-6 hours at room temperature and then serve.

 

Store in the refrigerator.
