Required products :

  • 2 eggs
  • 300 grams of sifted flour
  • 500 milliliters of fresh milk, warm
  • May 10 grams
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • butter

Method of preparation :

  • In a small bowl, mix the yeast with some of the milk and stir well to dissolve.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs and add the remaining milk.
  • Add the dissolved yeast, flour, sugar and salt to them and mix well again. The mixture should be with the density of boza.
  • Cover the bowl and leave it warm for about 1 hour to rise the dough.
  • Bake the katmi in a greased pan or Teflon pan over high heat.
  • When the katma dries on top and acquires a golden brown color at the bottom, it is ready to turn.
  • After baking on both sides, transfer to a suitable plate, grease with oil and cover with another plate to suffocate. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  • Serve the katmi warm with honey, jam, marmalade, cheese or anything else of your choice.

Note!

If the dough becomes too thick, dilute it with a little carbonated water, and if it is thinner, add flour to the required density.
