Required products :

  • 1/2 kg of carrots
  • 1 head old onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons crystal sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

Method of preparation :

Wash and peel the carrots.

 

Turn them into thin straws using a vegetable peeler.

 

Add the crushed or grated garlic.

 

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce with the vinegar, salt, paprika and sugar.

 

Pour over the carrots.

 

Heat the oil, pour in the chopped onion and as soon as it turns golden, remove from the heat. Strain the fat and add it to the carrots.

 

Stir and store the carrot strips in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
