How To Cook Lakhmajun / Lamajo (Arabic Pizza) With Minced Lamb - Recipe

Required products :

  • 250 grams of flour
  • 200 grams of kefir (or yogurt)
  • 100 grams of lamb and pork
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 15 grams of parsley
  • black pepper and salt to taste


Method of preparation :

Sift the flour into a bowl, add salt and kefir, knead a pliable dough, put it in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge for half an hour.

Grind the lamb and pork. Also grind onions, garlic, tomatoes and parsley using a blender.

Add the vegetable combination to the minced meat, season, add the tomato puree and stir.

Take the dough out of the fridge and break and form small balls weighing about 90 grams each. Roll them out to a thickness of about 3 millimeters and arrange in a tray on a sheet of parchment.

Coat the edges of the bases with the beaten egg yolk and spread a thin layer of the filling on the rest of the surface.

Bake the pizzas for 8 minutes in an oven preheated to 220 degrees, and before serving, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
