Required products :

  • 600 grams of lamb
  • 2/3 tea cup of rice
  • 2 onions
  • 3-6 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 eggplant
  • 2 sweet peppers
  • 2 tomatoes or 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 handfuls of green beans (can be frozen)
  • 1-2 sprigs of mint and basil or a pinch of dried
  • 1 / 2-1 teaspoon ground black pepper (you can also add a pinch of chili pepper)
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation :

Cut the lamb into cubes with a side of about 4 cm, onion - into semicircles, garlic - saturate, cut the peppers and eggplant into pieces, green beans into pieces 3-4 cm long, grate the tomatoes and chop the fresh green spices.

Fry onion and garlic in hot oil (until the onion is transparent), put the meat and let it cook until it changes color.

Then add pre-washed with cold water rice, stir and 5 minutes later pour 1/2 cup hot water.

Leave the products on low heat under a lid, stirring occasionally. Add more water (about half a cup) if it evaporates before the rice is ready.

When the white beans soften, add the prepared vegetables (eggplant, peppers, green beans and grated tomatoes / tomato paste).

The dish should be stewed until soft (it takes about 5 minutes).

Finally, season with black and chili pepper, add salt, mint and basil and after a few minutes remove the pan from the heat.

Have a good time!
