How To Cook Lamb With Tomato Sauce And Pasta In The Oven - Recipe

This Mediterranean dish is a cross between moussaka and cheese pasta and is just as delicious.

Required products :

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 500 grams of minced lamb
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 diced beef or lamb broth
  • 2 cans of 400 grams of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 400 grams of pasta
  • 250 grams of ricotta cheese
  • 50 grams of parmesan, grated
  • 50 milliliters of fresh milk
  • garlic rolls for serving (optional)

Method of preparation :

Heat olive oil and fry onions and garlic in it until soft. Add the minced lamb and cook, mashing, until it turns brown.

Pour the cinnamon, diced tomatoes, oregano and crush the broth. Stir well and let the mixture simmer covered for 15 minutes, then remove the lid and cook until the tomatoes are cooked through and the sauce thickens.

Boil the pasta, following the instructions on the package, and drain well from the water.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Combine ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, milk and spices and mix with pasta.

Pour the tomato sauce with the minced meat in a large pan, pour the pasta on top and garnish with Parmesan. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve the dish hot with garlic bread if desired.
