Necessary products:

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 7 grams of dry yeast
  • 250 milliliters of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • frying oil

for garnish:

  • sour cream
  • shredded Bulgarian yellow cheese
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic

Method of preparation:

Dissolve the salt in a glass of water. Mix the flour with the yeast in a bowl. Add the salt water and mix well with a wooden spoon or your hands. Leave the dough in a bowl covered with a clean towel to rise for about 30-40 minutes, or until it doubles in size.

Place the risen dough on a floured surface. Cut from it round shapes (about 10 cm) with the bottom of a large cup. Stretch the circle with your hands so that it is thinner at the edges. Leave the molds to rise for another 30 minutes on a floured surface.

Fry in a pan with hot oil until golden brown, then turn to the other side.

Serve hot alone or sprinkled with chopped garlic. Another option is to be spread with garlic and garnished with grated yellow cheese and sour cream. You can experiment with the garnish according to your taste.

Enjoy your meal!
