How To Cook Lasagna With Cabbage Leaves And Ground Beef - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Lasagna with cabbage leaves and ground beef". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated carrot
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 kg of ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry red wine
  • 800 grams of canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 broken egg
  • 2 cups of ricotta

Method of preparation :

Fry onions and carrots in olive oil until soft, about 8-10 minutes.

Add the veal and season with oregano, flaked red pepper and black pepper.

Using a spoon, chop the minced meat to make it into small pieces and fry it for 10 minutes.

Add the garlic, and after releasing its aroma after about 2-3 minutes, pour in the red wine.

Once the liquid is reduced, add the tomatoes (pre-grind them if they are whole). Cook until the sauce thickens - about 10 minutes.

Add the basil and remove from the heat.

Divide the cabbage into leaves and blanch them in boiling water for about 2-3 minutes. Drain them on paper.

Add the egg to the cooled tomato sauce.

Put a few cabbage leaves in a tray with a diameter of 24 cm, covering the sides as well. Put some of the stuffing and a few piles of ricotta on top.

Continue alternating leaves - sauce - ricotta until you finish the products - get a total of 4 rows. Finish with cabbage.

Bake for 1 hour at 190 degrees. Wait 20 minutes for the lasagna to cool before turning it over on a plate. Slice and serve.
