Necessary products:

  • 500 grams of fresh cabbage
  • 500 grams of minced meat
  • 2/3 cup rice
  • 250 grams of cream
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1 onion
  • left
  • 0.5 - 1 tsp sugar
  • spices of your choice
  • breading flour
  • frying oil
  • parsley, dill

Method of preparation:

Boil the rice (unlike ordinary sarma, in these it serves as a "connection"). Grind the cabbage with the help of a food processor, let it become the size of a rice grain (or chop very finely). Mix the rice, cabbage, minced meat, eggs, chopped onion, spices (you can use the ones you put on the meatballs, for example). Form sarmi from the mixture, roll in flour and fry in hot oil until golden brown (may not be completely ready). Then place them in a tray.

Make a sauce of cream, tomato paste and water (not less than 500 ml), salt, add a little sugar. Beat everything and add finely chopped dill.

Pour the sauce over the sarma and place in the oven until done. A sign that the dish is ready is the thickening of the sauce, which occurs after about 30 minutes.
