Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 3/4 tea cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Earl Gray tea (about 8 sachets)
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Method of preparation :

Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer until combined and airy - about 3-4 minutes. Add tea, lemon peel, vanilla to them. Understand for another 30 seconds on low.

Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder and add them to the butter. Work on the lowest setting of the mixer and add the dry ingredients in 3 parts, stirring well.

Divide the dough into 2 and form each of them into a roll, which you wrap in foil and store in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (you can store the dough for up to 4 days).

Preheat oven to 170 degrees.

Cut each roll into slices about 1 cm thick. Arrange them in a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 12-14 minutes until done.
