How To Cook Lemon Chicken Legs With White Wine, Onion And Garlic - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 chicken legs, halved
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 4 sprigs of thyme
  • 3/4 tea glass of white wine
  • 2 teaspoons chicken broth
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
  • Season the chicken legs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry the meat until golden brown.
  • Remove the legs to a plate and cover them loosely with aluminum foil.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the same pan and saute for 2 minutes, stirring often.
  • Add the lemon slices and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Add the thyme, white wine and broth and after the mixture boils, reduce the heat.
  • Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until 2/3 of the liquid has evaporated.
  • Arrange the chicken legs in a pan and pour the sauce over them. Arrange the lemon slices around them.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve them warm, generously garnished with wine sauce.
