Required products :

  • 8 chicken legs with skin, only the upper part
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream
  • 1/4 tea cup grated yellow cheese
  • 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon spinach, chopped

Method of preparation :

  • Season the chicken legs with salt, pepper and smoked paprika.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the chicken legs skin side down and fry for about 2-3 minutes, turn them over and fry again until golden brown.
  • Remove the meat with a slotted spoon from the pan and place it on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Add the remaining oil and sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the broth, cream, cheese, lemon juice and thyme.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and add the spinach.
  • Let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until it softens and the sauce thickens.
  • Return the chicken legs to the pan and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
  • Serve them warm, garnished with your choice.

Note!

If the pan is not suitable for use in the oven, pour the sauce into a pan, arrange the chicken legs and bake.
