Required products :

  • 10 lemons, well washed and dried
  • 1 bottle of vodka / 750 milliliters /
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon water

Method of preparation :

  • Peel the lemons, trying to cut only the yellow part of the rind as much as possible.
  • Squeeze them and strain the juice to avoid getting seeds in it.
  • Make the sugar syrup by boiling the water and adding the sugar and lemon zest. Cook for 10 minutes and add the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Cook for another 5 minutes and wait for the syrup to cool.
  • Divide the vodka into two clean glass jars with airtight closures.
  • Distribute the lemon sugar syrup in the two jars, mix well and close tightly.
  • Store the liqueur in a dark and dry place for a week, shaking it vigorously every day.
  • Strain the drink and transfer it to bottles.
  • Before serving, cool the lemongrass briefly in the freezer.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and serve.
