Boil the pasta in salted water for about 7 minutes (or 2 less than indicated on the package). Add the asparagus and a minute later the peas. After another 1 minute, drain the pasta and vegetables, separating 1/2 tea cup from the liquid.
Transfer them to a bowl and add to them the cold butter, lemon peel, half of the sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
If necessary, add the reserved water to obtain a creamy consistency of the sauce.
Serve the pasta with salmon and the rest of the sour cream in each portion. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves.
