How long to cook buckwheat in water

Buckwheat is a very valuable dietary product. It is needed for proper nutrition of both adults and children. With buckwheat, the body receives useful trace elements - calcium, iron, manganese, zinc. Biologically active substances contained in buckwheat provide cell growth and repair, reduce the fragility of blood vessels, improve digestion, reduce blood clotting time and increase hemoglobin.

But not everyone loves buckwheat. And some people like only crumbly buckwheat porridge, and they don’t like buckwheat-slurry at all.

In order for buckwheat to turn out friable, you need to consider some tips:

- when cooking in a saucepan, keep the correct proportions: for 1 part of buckwheat, take 2 parts of water;

- before boiling buckwheat, lightly fry it in butter, stirring constantly so as not to burn;

- do not cook the buckwheat to the end, boil the groats over low heat for 8 minutes, and then wrap the pan in a blanket or terry towel, and leave for 25 minutes.

If you use these recommendations, then your buckwheat porridge will always turn out crumbly and tasty.
