Necessary products:

 

  • 1 kg of mackerel fish
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 500 grams of old onions
  • 4-5 soft tomatoes
  • a pinch of sugar
  • 2 carrots 2-3 bay leaves
  • black peppercorns and salt
  • 50 milliliters of red wine
  • 2-3 grains of allspice
  • 4-5 unpeeled garlic cloves
  • 1-2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 stalks of fresh devesil
  • frying fat

 

Method of preparation:

 

Clean and rinse the fish. Dry it, roll it in flour and fry it on all sides. Drain and set aside. Saute sliced ​​onions in the same fat. Add peeled and grated tomatoes, chopped carrots.

Season with pepper, salt and a pinch of sugar. It is added to kill the acidity of the tomato and improve the taste. Add red pepper, wine, allspice, chopped fresh devesil, bay leaves and garlic cloves.

Stir the mixture and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour the resulting sauce into a pan, arrange the fish on top and bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 20 minutes. Cool, pour portions and serve the dish warm, garnished with a slice of lemon.
