Required products :
5-6 eggplants
150 milliliters apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons water
4 cloves
5 bay leaves
10 grains black pepper
3 tablespoons sugar
1.5 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon oil
10 cloves garlic
Method of preparation :
Peel the aubergines and cut them into pieces about 1 cm thick. Fry them in hot oil on both sides until golden brown. If you prefer, you can rub with garlic before frying.
Make the marinade. In a suitable bowl, mix the water with the vinegar, add all the spices and garlic. Put the dish on the stove and let the mixture boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
When this happens, dip each piece of eggplant in the aromatic liquid and arrange the strips in a deep bowl. Pour the marinade over them and store in the refrigerator for 1 to 5 days at your discretion and taste.
