Required products :
600 grams of garlic
For the marinade - per 1 liter of water:
1/2 teaspoon vinegar 9%
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons salt
10 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1 beetroot
Method of preparation :
Peel the garlic heads from the top layer of flakes. Put in a large bowl and pour very cold water for 2 hours.
Make the marinade by adding the appropriate amount of salt, sugar, vinegar, black pepper and bay leaves to each liter of water.
Cook in the combination for 2 minutes and let stand for an hour. Then put on the fire again and it should boil once more.
Peel a squash, grate it and cut it into thin strips.
Fill sterilized jars with heads of garlic and beets, pour the boiling marinade, which you can strain if you do not want the spices to get into the dishes.
Close the jars and sterilize for 10 minutes. Turn upside down and store in a dark place for two days. Then you can consume.
