How To Cook Marinated Mushrooms With Garlic And Onion - Recipe

Required products :

  • 450 grams of mushrooms
  • 1/4 tea cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tea cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tea cup red onion, cut into cubes
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed / optional /
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Method of preparation :

  • In a large saucepan with salted boiling water, scald the mushrooms for about 3-4 minutes until soft. Drain.
  • In a deep bowl, combine the mushrooms, olive oil, vinegar, red onion, garlic, sugar, oregano, black peppercorns, paprika and bay leaf.
  • Season with salt and pepper and mix well to taste evenly.
  • Distribute the mushrooms and marinade in clean glass jars with airtight closures and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Serve the marinated mushrooms sprinkled with fresh parsley.
