Required products :

  • 2 tea cups pitted with olives (Kamalata)
  • 32 large basil leaves
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons fennel seeds
  • 1 kilogram of okra
  • 4 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sherry vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 teaspoons salt

Method of preparation :

Peel the garlic cloves and press them with a knife so that they break.

Divide the garlic, olives, basil and fennel seeds between 8 clean jars. Add the okra.

Put on the stove in a saucepan all kinds of vinegar, water, sugar and salt to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Carefully fill the jars with the marinade, leaving 1 cm from the end of the jar. Put the caps on and turn the jars over.

Allow to cool and refrigerate before serving.
