How To Cook Mashed Potato Casserole With Cream, Bacon And Yellow Cheese - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Mashed potato casserole with cream cheese, bacon and cheese". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 1 kg of potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 8 slices of bacon, cut into cubes
  • 120 grams of cream cheese
  • 1/4 tea cup melted butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 1 teaspoon grated cheese
  • 1 cup grated yellow cheese
  • 1/4 tea cup green onions, finely chopped
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  • Boil the potatoes for about 20 minutes until soft. Transfer to a colander and drain.
  • Bake the bacon in a pan over medium heat, then spread it on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Transfer the potatoes to a large bowl and mash them.
  • Add the cream cheese, butter, cream, half the cheese and half the yellow cheese. Stir well.
  • Add the bacon and chopped green onions, leaving a small portion to sprinkle.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased pan and sprinkle with the remaining cheese, cheese, bacon and green onions.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve the potato casserole warm.
