Learn how to cook "Mashed potato casserole with leeks, yellow cheese and cream". Delicious recipe.

Necessary products

About the base:

  • 500 grams of potatoes
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 1 egg
  • salt to taste
  • oil to spread the form

For the stuffing:

  • the white part of 2 stalks of leeks
  • 150 grams of sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 grams of yellow cheese
  • 30 grams of butter
  • salt, ground allspice and nutmeg

Method of preparation :

Boil the peeled potatoes in salted water, then puree them (drain the liquid), adding the butter and half of the beaten egg.

Evenly distribute a layer of potatoes on the bottom of the dish in which you will bake the dish. The thickness of the base should be about 1 centimeter.

Using a teaspoon, shape the edges of the "swamp" by pressing them against the walls of the tray. This will result in petals.

Then spread the surface with the remaining egg and bake the puree for about 15 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees.

Meanwhile, cut the white part of the leek stalk into circles about 5 millimeters thick.

Melt the butter in a pan and fry the leeks in it until soft.

Make the filling by beating the eggs, which you mix with the cream and the grated yellow cheese, which you leave a little to sprinkle on the casserole. Stir and season to taste.

When you take the potato base out of the oven, spread the empty circles on it and pour the egg-cream combination over them.

Sprinkle with the allocated amount of yellow cheese and bake the dish at 180 degrees until a beautiful appetizing crust forms on the surface and until the filling thickens (about 30-40) minutes.

If the surface starts to burn, cover with foil.

Serve the finished casserole hot in the form in which you baked.

Have a good time!
