Required products :
- 1 kg of potatoes, cut into cubes
- 1 cup fresh milk
- 1/2 cup whole cream
- 1/2 teaspoon melted butter
- 1/3 tea cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
Method of preparation :
- Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into cubes. Transfer them to a saucepan and add cold water until covered.
- Boil the potatoes over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain the water, return to the pan and puree.
- In another saucepan, heat the milk and cream over medium heat, being careful not to bring the mixture to a boil.
- Gradually add the milk mixture to the mashed potatoes, stirring well until the desired consistency is obtained.
- Add the cheese and cream and stir again.
- Season the puree with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with butter if necessary.
- Serve as a side dish of fish, meat or with stewed vegetables.
