Required products :

for the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained
  • 1 red hot pepper
  • 1 small clove of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

for the meatballs:

  • 2/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500 grams of minced beef
  • 3/4 tea cup yogurt

Method of preparation :

For the piri-piri sauce, grind the peppers - from a jar and hot, along with olive oil, vinegar and spices. Transfer to a small bowl.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and start cooking the meatballs.

Mix the breadcrumbs with 2 tablespoons of sauce and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir and add the egg and wait for it to be absorbed by the breadcrumbs. Add the spices and finally the meat. Knead the minced meat well to distribute all the flavors. Form small meatballs and arrange them in a tray.

Bake them for 5 minutes, then turn on the grill in the oven and bake them for another 5-6 minutes, until done.

Spread the milk on a plate, put some of the piri-piri sauce on top, distribute the meatballs and serve with the rest of the sauce.
