Fry the bacon without adding fat to the pan. Transfer it to a napkin, then cut it into small pieces.
Pour the fat from the pan, but keep 1 tablespoon of it in the bowl. Fry the chopped onion in a saucepan until translucent (about 4 minutes).
Add the potatoes and chicken broth, cook until the vegetables are soft. Stir the flour into the milk and pour it into the pan, stirring until the products are combined.
Add the corn, cream, cheese and bacon. Leave the soup on the stove for another 2-3 minutes until the cheddar has melted.
Season with black pepper, salt and onion.
