Mini cakes are made with dough, which is typical of naan bread, often used in Indian cuisine. The spices used to flavor meat are also part of the Middle Eastern flavors. If you want to immerse yourself in the magic of Indian cuisine, these cakes are a great offer for you.

Required products :

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 cm ginger root, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 600 grams of minced chicken meat (preferably home-minced)
  • tomato chutney for serving

for the dough:

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 75 grams of yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 20 grams of melted butter

Method of preparation :

Heat the fat and fry the onion for 8-10 minutes. Once it acquires a golden color, add garlic and ginger to it, and after 2 minutes - tomato paste and spices. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.

Add the minced meat to the pan and mix well. Cover again and cook until meat is about 8 minutes. Remove the lid and wait for the liquid to reduce. Cool.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and yoghurt. Gradually add 125 milliliters of water, kneading constantly to obtain a soft dough. If not necessary, do not add the entire amount of water. Mix well and cover the dough, let it rest for 15 minutes.

Heat the grill. Divide the filling into equal parts. Divide the dough into 16 balls and roll them into a 12 cm circle. Put the stuffing in the center of the circle and spread, leaving 2 cm board on the side. Cover with another round of dough and glue the edges. Shape them as desired.

Bake on the grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, spread with melted butter and serve with tomato chutney.
