Required products :

  • 500 grams of frozen cherries
  • 110 milliliters of water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 liters of puff pastry, rolled
  • 2 broken eggs
  • 30 grams of sugar for sprinkling
  • 50 grams of powdered sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons hot water

Method of preparation :

Put the cherries, water, lemon juice, sugar and cornstarch in a pan and leave to neck on low heat for about 10 minutes, until the fruit cracks and softens and the sauce thickens.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Use an ice cube tray and place one sheet of puff pastry on top. Squeeze the dough with your finger to get it into the tins, being careful not to break it. Fill each nest with cherry jam and cover with the second sheet of puff pastry.

Press well to stick the two parts together and cut out the excess that comes out of the mold.

Remove the cake from the ice cube tray by turning it over. Cut the squares by passing a knife between all the shapes.

Arrange in a pan and spread with egg, sprinkle with a little granulated sugar.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until done.

Prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with the hot water, with the resulting mixture make a grid on the cakes and serve.
