How To Cook Moussaka With Minced Meat, Rice And Vine Leaves - Recipe

Required products :

100-150 grams of fresh or canned vine leaves
1.5 teaspoons of rice
500 grams of minced meat
2 onions
1 tablespoon dried mint or the leaves of 1 stalk fresh
1 teaspoon savory
1/2 teaspoon unmilled cumin
1 tablespoon ground red pepper
1 / 2 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt to taste

For topping:

2 eggs
300 milliliters of yogurt
soda on the tip of a knife

Method of preparation :

Peel an onion, chop finely and fry in a little oil.

 

Add the spices to the minced meat and mix well.

 

Pour into the bowl with the onions.

 

Next is the rice.

 

Mix everything and after a few minutes of frying, transfer the mixture to a pan. Add the shredded or chopped vine leaves and stir again.

 

Pour 3 teaspoons of water, add salt to taste. Cover the dish with foil and place in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 30-40 minutes.

 

During this time, make the filling. Beat the eggs and yoghurt with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and baking soda to the tip of the knife.

 

When you remove the foil from the dish, pour the moussaka with the milk-egg combination and distribute it evenly.

 

Return the dish to the oven until a yellow crust forms.
