Oatmeal does not have to be sweet. Oatmeal has a neutral taste and goes well with both fruits and vegetables. If you want to try them in a salty version, try this recipe.

Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon chicken broth or water
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 green onion stalks, cut in bulk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • hot red pepper for serving

Method of preparation :

Bring the broth to a boil in a small saucepan, then add the nuts. Reduce heat and cook for 25-30 minutes, until the oats are soft and the sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and fry the mushrooms with the ginger until soft and browned. Transfer them to a bowl. Add the remaining sesame oil to the pan and fry the green onions for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Mix the mushrooms with the oatmeal and serve with green onions, soy sauce and hot red pepper.
