  • 400 grams of onions
  • 280 grams of potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons semolina
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 5 sprigs of dill
  • salt, pepper
  • breadcrumbs
  • frying oil

Method of preparation :

Boil the potatoes whole and unpeeled.

Peel the onion and garlic, chop them as finely as possible and pour into a deep bowl. Put a few pinches of salt, stir and leave for 20-25 minutes to let the juice. If a lot of liquid separates, drain it by pouring the onion into a colander.

Peel the chilled potatoes, grate them and mix with the onion and garlic. Stir until smooth.

to this mixture add the chopped dill, semolina and season. Stir, a thick mass is obtained, which is easy to work with.

Divide it into small pieces, from which form small round meatballs. Roll them in breadcrumbs (maybe in semolina or flour) and fry in a small amount of hot oil over medium heat until covered with a yellow crust on all sides.

Remove them on paper to absorb the excess fat they have absorbed during the heat treatment.

Serve them warm with tomato sauce or mayonnaise.
