Necessary products

For the soup:

3 large onions

1 tablespoon flour

150 milliliters of dry white wine

1 liter of chicken or vegetable broth

4 slices of white bread

salt to taste

 

100 grams of Swiss cheese (or other suitable)

3 cloves garlic

3 tablespoons butter

 

For the cheese sticks :

0.5 teaspoon fresh milk

100 grams of Swiss cheese (or other suitable)

150 grams of flour

75 grams of butter

0.5 teaspoon leavening agent

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.5 teaspoon paprika

 

Method of preparation :

Peel an onion and cut it into thin semicircles, peel the garlic and chop finely. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, in which you will prepare the soup, heat the butter, pour the onion and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring constantly. Then add the garlic and flour, let everything cook for another 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour the wine and when it boils, add the hot broth. Season with salt and pepper, reduce the temperature and cook with the lid closed for 10 minutes.

Cut the crusts of the slices. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a suitable pan and fry the bread until it forms a yellow crust (about 2 minutes on each side). Grate the cheese in bulk and add half of it to the soup. Stir and immediately remove from the heat.

Divide the soup into small pots (pots). Put a piece of fried bread in each of them, sprinkle with grated cheese and place in a preheated oven to 200 degrees or in the microwave for 3 minutes.

 

The yellow cheese sticks

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, grate the cheese finely, warm the butter to room temperature. Mix the two products in a bowl, add the milk, salt and red pepper. Stir, then add the flour, baking powder, knead the dough and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface, cut the irregularities at the edges, forming a large rectangle and cut into strips 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. Roll them in a spiral and arrange in a pan greased with oil. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.

Serve hot with the soup.
