Required products :

  • 8 eggs (4 eggs + 4 yolks)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed orange juice

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat to a temperature of 180 degrees.

In a small saucepan, pour 3/4 cup of the sugar and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sweet crystals melt and turn into a dark liquid caramel (about 3 minutes).

Grease suitable molds with oil and immediately distribute the caramel in them.

Divide 4 of the eggs into yolks and whites, you will only need the yolks. Beat them with a mixer together with the other 4 eggs (do not separate them) and the remaining sugar. After about a minute, start pouring a little orange juice so that it can blend well with the egg combination. Try not to form too much foam.

Distribute the orange liquid in the prepared bowls, which you arrange in a tray. Pour water in it, the amount of which should reach 3/4 of the height of the vessel.

It remains to bake the dessert in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes.

When cool, turn over on a flat plate and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
