Required products :

  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 oranges, squeezed and finely grated peel
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

 

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  • Cover a rectangular tray measuring 20 x 30 cm with baking paper, grease the bottom with oil and sprinkle it evenly with 1/4 cup of sugar.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sugar, cornflour and baking powder. Stir.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with a mixer for about 1 minute.
  • Add the orange juice, grated orange peel, melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir.
  • Transfer the custard to the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula.
  • Pour the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden.
  • Allow the marsh to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Spread a clean cotton cloth on a flat surface and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Remove the marshmallows from the pan with the help of baking paper and quickly turn it over on the towel.
  • Carefully roll it into a tight roll, starting on the long side, then transfer it to a board or tray of suitable size.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, cut and serve.
