Squeeze the required amount of juice (the number of oranges depends on their size and juiciness, approximately 8-9 fruits).
Add sugar, vanilla to 1/3 of the orange liquid and cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
Mix the remaining juice with the starch and pour in a thin stream into the boiling syrup.
Let the mixture boil for 2-3 minutes (until thickened), stir.
Remove the pan from the heat, add the hazelnut halves and mix thoroughly.
Distribute an even layer in a rectangular shape, cover it with plastic wrap. The thickness of the layer should be no more than 2 centimeters. Allow to cool.
Cut into cubes and roll in powdered sugar. You can sprinkle with sesame seeds.
