Required products :

  • 1 kg of carrots
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • salt to taste
  • vegetable oil (sunflower, olive or other optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika, sugar and curry powder

Method of preparation :

Wash the carrots with cold water, peel them and with a sharp knife turn into 3-4-millimeter circles, which you put in a bowl, add salt, stir and leave for 30-40 minutes.

Then drain the juice, arrange the vegetable circles on a flat surface and absorb the excess moisture with a towel.

Cover the bottom of the pan with a sheet of parchment paper, pour the flour into a plate, pour 50 grams of oil in a suitable container.

Dip each carrot in the fat, then roll in the flour and arrange in the pan.

Bake for half an hour in the oven at 250 degrees.

In a small bowl, mix a tablespoon of lemon juice with paprika, sugar and curry powder. Of course, you could use other spices if you prefer.

When you take the carrots out of the oven after 30 minutes of baking, using a brush, spread the aromatic sauce on both sides. Return the pan to the oven, reduce the temperature to 160-170 and bake the chips for another 20-30 minutes.

Then wait for the crispy dish to cool and serve it with yogurt or sour cream.

Make it crispy!
