Required products :

  • grease
  • 300 grams of roasted nuts, finely chopped (hazelnuts and almonds or other)
  • 300 grams of dried fruit, chopped (apricots, raisins, blueberries or other)
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 125 grams of honey
  • 150 grams of brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons wine or liqueur
  • powdered sugar for garnish

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 150 degrees. Grease and cover the bottom of a tin pan with baking paper.

Sift the flour and spices and mix with the nuts and dried fruits.

Heat the honey, brown sugar and wine in a saucepan for 3-4 minutes until the sugar has melted. Pour the hot liquid into the bowl with nuts and fruits and stir. Transfer to a tin pan and flatten with a wet metal spoon.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the surface of the dessert is still soft but not sticky. Remove and set aside to cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut into pieces and serve.

* Wrap each piece of dessert in aluminum foil and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
