How To Cook Pasta Rizoni With Smoked Salmon, Peas And Parmesan - Recipe

Required products :

  • 40 grams of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 teaspoons fresh milk
  • 2 1/4 tea cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 tea cups pasta rizoni / rice-shaped /
  • 2 teaspoons frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 185 grams of smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley

Method of preparation :

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Stew the onion and garlic for about 2 minutes until soft.
  • Add the flour and cook for another 1 minute, stirring to prevent burning.
  • Add half the milk and stir constantly for about 20 seconds.
  • Add the remaining milk, chicken broth, rizona paste and peas.
  • Once the mixture boils, reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Remove the pan from the heat. There will still be more sauce, but the pasta will thicken in the next steps.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper to taste and stir.
  • Add the salmon and stir again to distribute evenly.
  • Serve the rizoni paste hot, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
