Required products :

200 grams of peas

500 milliliters of water

1 onion

1 bunch parsley

30 grams of breadcrumbs

50 grams of grated yellow cheese

1 egg

3 tablespoons flour

400 milliliters of olive oil

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

Method of preparation :

Pour the peas into a saucepan, fill with cold water, bring to a boil until soft and allow to cool. Finely chop the onion and parsley, add them to the peas. Add the grated yellow cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well.

From the resulting minced meat form meatballs the size of a walnut and arrange them in a flat plate, sprinkled with an even layer of flour. Roll them in the flour so that it can cover the meatballs on all sides.

Pour olive oil into a saucepan or deep frying pan and fry until golden brown. Put a few meatballs in the dish, they should float freely in the fat. Arrange the finished ones on a paper towel to drain off excess fat.
